Do I need to export Procore data to start?
No. The Latopis check asks three questions: your systems, the company, and who can sign. Nothing is uploaded to start, and you approve the scope before anything moves.
Short answer: To export your Procore history, use the project-level Project Archive tool: create an archive, pick the tools and items to include, then download the .zip when Procore emails you. You need Read Only or higher on each tool, and only active projects can be archived. No export is needed to start a Latopis check.
Steps below are from Procore’s official documentation and are accurate as of October 2026. Menus change, so check the linked sources before you start.
Project Archive replaced Data Extracts 2.0. Procore also documents an older Windows desktop application, Procore Extracts, for exporting project data; see its guide in the sources below.
Procore holds how a job actually ran: RFIs, submittals, change orders, daily logs, drawings, and field photos, from preconstruction to closeout. Buyers who license the operating record look for that continuous trail of decisions and outcomes across many projects. Years of history, and how much of the real work shows in the records, matter more than raw file size.
Project records name people at owners, architects, subcontractors, and suppliers. Strip or mask personal names, emails, phone numbers, and client details before anything is shared. Drawings a project owner still owns, and records you hold for clients as their agent, are not part of a license.
You do not need to export anything to start. The Latopis check asks three questions: your systems, the company, and who can sign. You approve the scope before anything moves, and the company keeps its data.
Three questions, a rough range, and nothing leaves your systems.

Procore’s Project Archive documentation says data can be exported from active projects only.
Archives are private to their creator. Users with Admin permission on the project-level Directory tool can view archives created by other users.
